NHS 111 mental health services
Helpline for anyone experiencing mental health problems, including stress, anxiety and depression.
NHS mental health services offers a helpline offering support and information. Phone them if you're experiencing mental health problems like stress, anxiety or depression. You can also phone them if you're a carer, healthcare professional, or worried about a relative or friend.
The helpline is not a counselling service. However, operators can listen and help you identify your immediate problems. They can help you explore ways of coping, or suggest places to get help.
They have information about local mental health services and can provide information on a wide range of voluntary organisations, both local and national.
Operators can also provide information about various mental health conditions, including:
- anxiety
- depression
- psychosis
- stress
- bipolar affective disorder
- obsessive compulsive disorders
