About
Aldrington CE Primary School is a growing school. We provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment for children to learn. At the heart of our school is our Christian faith, which shapes and moulds everyday life.
At Aldrington, we have successfully supported children with a wide range of special educational needs.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Specialist services and expertise
- BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service, which includes:
- educational psychologists
- family support workers
- primary mental health workers
- specialist SEN teachers
- specialist SEN practitioners
- EALTS (English as an Additional Language and Traveller Service)
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech and Language
- Counselling
Staff have training in:
- advice, support regarding children with sensory needs, speech, language and communication needs and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health)
- use of the Narrative framework, Clicker 6 software, and the School Start programme
Our Inclusion Coordinator (INCO) is a regional Makaton tutor.
