City Academy Whitehawk is a two-form entry mainstream school for children who are 4 to 11 years old.

The school also offers whole school training for teachers and TAs regarding the identification of pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties and strategies to support children. The SENCo has 13 years of experience in this field.
There is a TA to carry out speech and language interventions.
Staff have had training regarding attachment difficulties and ADHD.
Specialist leaders provide bespoke training, support and advice for teachers and TAs in reading, writing and maths.
TAs have been trained to deliver a range of interventions.
Teaching staff have regular training regarding how to support children with SEMH Difficulties.
