Specialist services and expertise

  • BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service, which includes:
    • educational psychologists
    • family support workers
    • primary mental health workers
    • specialist SEN teachers
    • specialist SEN practitioners
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech and Language
  • EALTS (English as an Additional Language and Traveller Service)

Training has been provided on:

  • how to adapt teaching to help children with attachment difficulties achieve their full potential
  • supporting pupils with speech and language difficulties and specific learning difficulties
  • supporting pupils on the autistic spectrum
  • the Just Right ASC Programme
  • Makaton

We have a Speech and Language Champion teaching assistant responsible for delivering speech and language programmes and any speech and language-related interventions.

Our SENDCO qualifies for the National Accreditation for Co-ordination of SEN.
