Elm Grove Primary School is a two-form entry primary school for children aged from 4 to 11 years old.

Specialist services and expertise
Specialist services and expertise that the school has available or access to:
- BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service, which includes educational psychologists, family support workers, primary mental health workers, specialist SEN teachers and specialist SEN practitioners
- EMAS (Ethnic Minority Achievement Service)
- Family Support Service
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech and Language
Teaching Assistants (TAs) receive training from specialist teachers in the services above as required to deliver programmes for individual children with SEN.
In school training has been delivered to groups of staff on dyslexia, hearing impairment and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.
The SENCO has completed the NA SENCO training.
