About
King's School, Hove, is an inclusive, high-performing, Christian secondary school.
King's School is the result of their determined efforts and the fantastic support they received from the local community and from Russell Education Trust, which has opened 4 other successful new schools in recent years.

Specialist services and expertise
- BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service, which includes:
- educational psychologists
- family support workers
- primary mental health workers
- specialist SEN teachers
- specialist SEN practitioners
All staff have training in aspects of SEND throughout the year. Staff have access to an Additional Needs Booklet which informs them of students with SEND, barriers to learning and best practice for specific students' needs.
The school has regular whole staff training from the Hearing and Visual Impairment, ASC, Language and Literacy Teams through the Brighton and Hove Inclusion Support Service (BHISS).
The school is a recognised Attachment Aware School with the Assistant SENCo trained in this area of need. The Assistant SENCo has also been trained by the Autism Education Trust in strategies for children with Autism.
Other staff in the department have been trained in Autism Awareness and supporting Speech and Language Difficulties.
Specialist programmes of additional support include:
- lego therapy
- maths and literacy support
- social skills groups
- speech, language and communication groups
Staff have severe allergy training, including the use of an EPIPen.
