About
St Luke's Primary is a three form mainstream primary school for children who are 4 to 11 years old.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Specialist services and expertise
- BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service, which includes: educational psychologists, family support workers, primary mental health workers, specialist SEN teachers and specialist SEN practitioners
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech and Language
Within our staff team, there is a wide range of experience and training.
We have a 'Communication Champion' to support parents/carers whose children have a speech and language difficulty. One staff member holds a post-graduate qualification in Dyslexia. Our school holds the Autism Aware Award. We employ an attachment mentor who works alongside children who no longer live with their birth parents. We have a team of teaching assistants; individual needs assistants, mentors and specialist teachers and there is a full programme of training for their roles.
