Stanford Infant School is a mainstream infant school for children who are 4 to 7 years old.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Specialist services and expertise
At Stanford Infant School the Inclusion Leader oversees SEND provision at the school. Through experience, specific training and multi-agency working, they have developed expertise in supporting children with a wide range of educational needs. These include:
- Attachment awareness
- Autistic spectrum condition
- Speech and language difficulties
- Physical and sensory needs
- Hearing impairment
- Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
Their staff are also experienced in working with children with asthma, diabetes, anaphylaxis and epilepsy. Auto-injector pen training takes place annually.
In addition to our in-house expertise, we are always willing to access support and advice from other specialist agencies when necessary. The following specialist services and expertise are available to access at our school:
- BHISS - Brighton & Hove Inclusion Support Service
- Speech and language support
- Every Child a Reader (ECaR)
