Stonewater - The Brighton Refuge
The Brighton Refuges provides safe accommodation for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse, as well as running regular drop-in sessions for survivors.

The Brighton Refuge is a safe space providing accommodation and support for self-identifying women and their children (up to 18 years) who are fleeing domestic abuse.
The accommodation comprises of fifteen furnished self-contained flats, including ground floor flats for women with mobility issues.
They provide communal spaces for recreation and group activities, children’s play spaces, and a large garden.
Residents have the opportunity to attend workshops, therapies, and 1-to-1 holistic support sessions whilst staying at the refuge and for up to 6 months after moving on.
Safe accomodation provision
Stonewater also research Brighton & Hove’s provision of safe accommodation. This includes survivor consultation and partnership work with other registered housing providers.
