If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness you can contact our Housing Advice service.

Use this form to tell us:
- if you are at risk of homelessness
- you are homeless or sleeping rough
To complete this form you will need:
- your National Insurance number. If you don’t have your National Insurance number enter the code AA000000A in the National Insurance number box.
- a phone number or email address
- details of your housing history for the last 6 years, including any periods of rough sleeping
- details of anyone else in your household who is affected by your situation, including:
- spouse or partner
- dependent children - under 18 years old
- non-dependant children - over 18 years old
- other people living in the same property as you
- details of any medical, mental health or accessibility needs
- details of any sources of income
What happens after you have submitted the form
We aim to respond to you within 10 working days. We will contact you through your preferred method of contact.

Contact the Housing options advice service to get help to prevent homelessness and look at alternative forms of accommodation.
Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm. If you phone out of hours you will be redirected to our service provider. They will make a record of your call and pass it on to a Housing Officer who will get in touch with you.
In person appointment
You can also contact us to arrange a face-to-face appointment at Hove Town Hall. Find contact details and opening hours below.
If you visit without an appointment, we may not be able to see you on the same day however you will have the option of making an appointment instead of waiting.
What information we'll need from you
To be able to provide you with personalised housing advice, we will require further information and documentation from you to be able to assess your housing situation.
This can include:
- identification
- proof of eligibility
- financial documents
- National Insurance number
- any eviction notices
