How to help people living on the street
Help us support people living on the street by contacting us, making a donation or volunteering with local charities.
Tell us about someone sleeping rough
If you are concerned about someone who is sleeping rough, contact Streetlink with the details and the information will be passed on to the street outreach team.
It is important that anyone sleeping rough is offered help as soon as possible and that the assistance offered meets their needs, so accommodation for people on the streets is provided through referrals from organisations who understand what’s available and what support is needed.
You can find more information about support for people sleeping rough in Brighton & Hove on our 'How we help rough sleepers' page.
If you think the person needs urgent medical care or they're under 18 years of age, you should call 999.
Make a donation
Homeless charities have joined together under the Make Change Count campaign to help people living on the streets.
The local charities involved are:
Antifreeze

Change Grow Live
Equinox

Make Change Count ensures all money given goes to help rough sleepers get off the streets.
