Statement from the Mayor of Brighton & Hove

Speaking today about the announcement from  Buckingham Palace that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Dee Simson, said:

“Congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan, I wish them every happiness on their wedding day and for their future life together. I’m also delighted to hear they’ll take the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I am so proud to be Mayor of Brighton & Hove and hope the happy couple will come to see our fantastic city as part of their new role.”
