Brighton 'nursery of sanctuary' honoured
The council-run Roundabout Nursery in Whitehawk has been named a ‘nursery of sanctuary’.
The award is given by the city’s Sanctuary on Sea project to recognise good practice in becoming a place of sanctuary, welcome and belonging, particularly for refugees and asylum seekers.
Nursery manager Teresa Owen said: “Our whole team has worked hard on this and we’re thrilled to be recognised in this way.”
