New Road Brighton temporary closure
The north end of New Road, outside The Mash Tun Public House, will be temporarily closed to traffic from 14 January to 11 February to enable works to take place on the Royal Pavilion Estate project.
Work involves creating a new manhole for new surface water drainage pipes. It is part of the ongoing programme of construction works to the refurbishment of the Brighton Dome and Corn Exchange.
During the closure, vehicle access to New Road will only be possible via North Street, and not by Church Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times around the new construction works.
The contractor has written to businesses in the area.
Thank you your patience during these essential works.
