We're delighted to have opened the doors to the most eccentric former Royal Palace in England, and we’re appealing to both residents of Brighton & Hove, and visitors from all over the UK to help us get back on our feet.
With Covid-19 safety measures in place, and our staff trained and ready, we can’t wait to welcome visitors once again.
We know there are many people who regularly drive, cycle or walk past our exotic town centre palace and think to themselves, ‘well it’s amazing on the outside, I wonder what it is like inside?’ Well, now’s the time to find out!
With unique Chinoiserie interiors revered the world over, including gilded ceilings, jaw dropping chandeliers, walls painted with platinum, nodding Chinese figures and dragons galore, we think you will be suitably speechless.
We also have, for a limited time, over 200 decorative objects on loan from HM the Queen’s private apartments at Buckingham Palace.
But there’s a serious reason why we need you to make that long awaited visit this summer.
70% of funding for the Royal Pavilion and Museums, comes from earned income and the majority of this is generated through admissions to the Royal Pavilion. The four month closure, during our peak tourist season has resulted in £1.2 million in lost income.
So why not celebrate the easing of lockdown by making that special visit and bring the bling to your social bubble!
With half price admission for Brighton & Hove residents, adult tickets are £7.75 each and allow you to bring up to four children under 18 in for free.
The Royal Pavilion is conveniently located in the city centre, with easy access along safe cycle paths.

Councillor Marianna Ebel, joint chair of the council’s Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee said: “We are so fortunate to have the Royal Pavilion in the heart of our city - but it’s such a familiar sight that it’s easy to take it for granted.
“Whether you’re a regular visitor, or have never stepped inside before, I’d encourage residents to plan a visit this summer, to spread the word about our unique and fascinating Royal Palace and to help us raise essential funds to preserve it for future generations.
"Over the last few weeks, staff have worked very hard to make the Royal Pavilion Covid-19 safe. They have even created a comprehensive online video to illustrate the changes made to ensure visitors and staff are protected while on the premises.”
Councillor Steph Powell, joint chair of the Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee added: “I love the city’s history, and I always enjoy visiting the pavilion, which is the jewel in the city’s crown.
“Personally, I was really excited to see the Royal Pavilion reopened yesterday.
"A lot of measures have been put in place by staff and volunteers to ensure social distancing, and despite the gloomy weather, the day was a success, and a good number of visitors came along.
“A trip to the Royal Pavilion is a truly special, Brighton & Hove day out – and we hope more residents and tourists alike get to enjoy this in the weeks and months to come, and we thank staff for all the work they have done to keep people safe who want to visit.”
