Get Online Week at Jubilee Library
Get Online Week is an annual digital inclusion campaign initiated by the Good Things Foundation.
Over the last 14 years, the campaign has helped hundreds of thousands of people to get online for the first time and improve their digital skills.
This year’s campaign runs from 17 to 23 October and we’re holding 3 free events at Jubilee Library to mark the week.
Follow the links below to find out more.
- Library Online Resources Fair – 10am to 5pm on Tuesday 18 October
- Environmental Impact of Tech and The Circular Economy Talk with Tech-TakeBack - 2 to 3pm Tuesday 18 October
- Staying Safe Online with Nationwide - 10.30am to 2pm on Thursday 20 October
Get online with Library Connect
You can get help to get online with Brighton & Hove Libraries at any of our free Library Connect sessions. Support is on offer to help you learn to use a library computer, your own digital device or the internet.
Our friendly volunteers support customers and help build digital confidence on a one-to-one basis.
To book a session, pop into any library and speak to a member of staff or call us on 01273 290800.
Support with data poverty
Our library service has also signed up to the National Databank to help experiencing data poverty in Brighton & Hove.
We have SIM cards preloaded with data that we can give away to people age 18+ who are from a low-income household and meet one of the follow criteria:
- No or insufficient access to the internet at home
- No or insufficient access to the internet away from home
- Cannot afford existing monthly contract or pay as you go
For more information, visit Jubilee Library or call the libraries team on 01273 290800.
