Apprentices from across Brighton & Hove invited to join graduation ceremony
We're working with The Sussex Council of Training Providers to celebrate apprentices of all ages, levels and sectors at this year's Brighton & Hove Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday 7 November.
The evening promises inspirational talks from guest speakers and special award presentations. It will be an enjoyable event to share with friends, family, and colleagues and celebrate the fantastic achievements of apprentices and employers across the city.
The graduation is free to attend and available to those who live or work in Brighton & Hove and achieved their apprenticeship between 1 June 2022 and 20 October 2023.
Recognising the achievements of apprentices
We look forward to recognising the contributions of Brighton & Hove apprentices in this city-wide celebration in partnership with headline sponsor, the University of Brighton, and sponsors NCFE, the Southeast Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, and Apprenticeships in Sussex.
Councillor Lucy Helliwell, co-chair of the council's Children, Families and Schools committee, said:
"Apprentices are a popular option and allows people to gain qualifications from level 2 to degree level while earning a wage at the same time.
"It gives participants the opportunity to learn skills that interest them and ensures the employer can mould a new generation of workers suited to their business needs.
"It has been shown that apprenticeships can ensure businesses across the city can fill skill gaps, increase productivity, and reduce staff turnover and is a crucial part of supporting our local businesses and their workforce.
"We are encouraging apprentices and employers to join us at this year’s event, which will showcase the fantastic achievements of apprentices and the contribution of all those involved in apprenticeships across the city."

To acknowledge the contribution of others involved in making apprenticeships a success, there are four new special awards:
- Outstanding Contribution by an Apprentice to an Employer Award
- Above and Beyond Award
- Employer/Employee Contribution to Apprenticeships Award
- Trainer/Tutor of the Year Award
