Floral clock gets festive!
The famous Floral Clock at Palmeira Square in Hove will take on a festive new look this week with a Christmas tree, complete with twinkling lights.
On Friday, (24 November) members of Brunswick Town Association are inviting residents to join them for the annual lighting of the Floral Clock Christmas tree.
The event will start at 3.45pm at St John the Baptist Church, where children from Brunswick Primary School Choir will be singing Christmas songs.
Countdown!
The group will then move to Palmeira Square where Brighton & Hove Mayor, Councillor Jackie O’Quinn, will start the countdown to switch on the Christmas tree lights.
There will also be a chance to climb aboard the festive Brighton & Hove Buses’ popular Santa Bus which will be parked at the square and depart for its first Christmas journey at 5.05pm.
The Floral Clock Christmas tree, a Sussex grown Nordman Fir Tree from Sussex Christmas Trees, is installed by Brighton & Hove City Council’s Cityparks Projects team.
