Cold Weather Health Alert – look out for others
An Amber Cold Health Alert has been issued for the south east due to the cold temperatures expected over the next few days.
The cold weather is likely to impact those aged 65+ and other vulnerable groups, such as people sleeping rough or those with long-term health conditions.
The alert is currently in place from 8 January to 12 noon on 12 January, but this will be reviewed daily, so please check the forecast and national cold weather warnings.
Cold weather can have a serious impact on health especially for vulnerable groups such as older people, families with young children, and those living with long-term illnesses.
