TAKEPART Festival starts this weekend
Our TAKEPART festival starts this weekend with sports and activities you can try for free across our city.
There is something for everyone with dance, football, table tennis, Zumba, skateboarding and much, much more.
Running from Saturday 22 to Sunday 7 July, TAKEPART is a chance for everyone to try out free sport, dance, exercise, and physical activity sessions.
The full programme of activities for TAKEPART festival of active living is available now.
Something for everyone at The Level
There’s so much to choose from, so if you’re not sure what to try, come along to our launch event, taking place from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 22 June at The Level, with workshops, performances, and opportunities to speak to coaches and fitness experts.
We are also launching our Let’s Get Moving physical activity and sports strategy – our vision is for Brighton & Hove to be a city where everyone has the opportunity, encouragement, and environment to move more, live well and be healthy.
We want to make Brighton & Hove one of the nation’s most active cities. We want everyone to have the chance to move more in a way that they enjoy.
Local TAKEPART events
As well as the festival launch event, there will be 3 TAKEPART local events. Come and join free family fun days at The Crew Club and Carden Park on 29 June and in Hangleton Park on 6 July showcasing activities in the local area.
More than 50 local groups are providing taster sessions for people of all ages and abilities across the city.
All the events and activities are free to join with something for all ages and abilities.
Activities at the launch event are drop-in, but some others need to be booked in advance, so please check before turning up.
