City Plan consultation closes today
The City Plan 2041 consultation closes at midnight today.
Council deputy leader Jacob Taylor said: “We have limited space within our city boundaries, so we need to plan the places that we live and work and the spaces we use for sport and leisure, for education and for health and wellbeing.
“Our City Plan 2041 consultation closes today, so it's not too late to have your say on subjects like building more houses, developing office and Industrial spaces to support jobs, and creating a healthy and sustainable city that we all want to see.
“We want as many people as possible – of all ages and walks of life – to have their say in shaping a city to be proud of for generations to come. So please give your views online through the council’s Your Voice website.”
Where could new developments be located?
As well as giving your views on the big issues about how the city develops over the next 15 to 20 years you can also make suggestions for new sites that could provide the basis for more homes and facilities in future.
How your feedback will shape the plan
We will review and respond to the feedback received in this consultation and consider it in preparing the first draft of the full plan.
A second public consultation will be held next winter, 2025/26, and a third – on the final proposed submission – in spring/summer 2026. The plan will then be submitted to the Secretary of State.
