Description
Built in 1877 to 1878 by local architect J.G. Gibbins, originally as a Congregationalist Chapel. Flint walls and pitched slate roof. Gothic in style, the main frontage is set within the gable end, with porched entrance reached by steps and large pointed-arch stone window above. Octagonal turret to southeast corner; no spire. Prominent buttresses to side elevations. Located on the corner of Cumberland Road and Clermont Terrace, it is set slightly back from the road on raised ground bounded by a low flint wall.
