About the school places offered
All of the junior schools were able to offer places to all children in priorities 1 to 5.
Children who have not been offered a place at one of these schools were offered a higher preference.
All junior schools still have places available as at national offer day, 16 April 2024. However, some places have also been offered to late applicants.
It was agreed by the Children, Families & Schools Committee on 6 November 2023 that, in September 2024, Hertford Infant School and Hertford Junior School will merge to become a one form entry primary school. Therefore, no preferences for Hertford Junior School were considered.
All children currently in Year 2 at Hertford Infant School will automatically move into Year 3 of Hertford Primary School in September 2024.
Any parent or carer who would like their child to enter Year 3 of Hertford Primary School in September 2024, but whose child is not already in Year 2 at Hertford Infant School, will need to make an in-year application for this school during the summer term.
