About
Our team works with schools to help them provide support for children and young people 0 to 25 years old who have mental health needs.
Examples of mental health problems include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, phobias, psychosis and suicidal feelings.
Our team:
- provides training for schools and other professionals to support children and understand their mental health needs
- helps schools be more proactive in meeting the mental health needs of children and young people
- gives advice and support to parents, including consultations and workshops
- provides group work with children and young people
If you're concerned about your child's emotional mental health and well-being, get in touch.
Please note, this is not a crisis line. If you need immediate support, contact your GP, phone CAMHS on 03003 040 061 or go directly to A&E.
How to get support from us
To get support contact the Special Educational Needs Coordinator at your child's school, who will support you with a referral.
Talk to your child’s teacher or Special Educational Needs Coordinator if you think your child needs support from Schools Mental Health Service.
Contacting the team
Leave your name and phone number and a primary mental health worker will call you back. We aim to return your call within 2 days, but if there's high demand this may be longer.
