About
The service works with over 350 young people and their families each year, taking referrals from the police and the courts.
The Youth Justice Service works with young people aged between 10 and 17, their families and other relevant professionals to offer:
- support and supervision to young people involved in the Criminal Justice System
- preventative work for children and young people at risk of becoming involved in offending
- reductions in the levels of offending by children and young people

For information relating to Saturday and Bank Holiday Courts, please phone the Brighton & Hove Emergency Duty Service on 01273 335 905 or 01273 355 906.
They will give you the Adolescent Service Court duty manager's telephone number to use in relation to young people in the remand court.
