Cathy - Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Pod Manager

I absolutely love my job because I get to work with the most inspiring foster carers who have created and are part of a community of people who are committed to making a difference to the lives and futures of children and young people. I am privileged to have an amazing team where we work closely together to support those who are thinking of fostering or who are in the process of becoming foster carers. We get to meet such a wonderful range of people during the work we do.

Lindsey - Senior Social Worker

I support recruitment and carry out assessments with our future foster carers. I really enjoy my role, especially having the opportunity to meet new people and to help support and prepare them on their journey into fostering. I find it very fulfilling knowing that through this process I am not just playing a part in the lives of the carers themselves but also the children and young people they will go on to care for.

Lucy - Business Support Officer

My role is to support potential foster carers throughout their application journey from initial enquiry to approval. I also help to raise awareness of the need for more foster carers in our communities. I really enjoy organising and attending events to engage the public and businesses, working alongside our wonderful, existing foster carers to help bring new ones on board. I’ve learnt so much and feel humbled to be a part of this vital service.

Gemma - Marketing Lead for Foster Carer Recruitment

My role is to raise the profile of fostering in Brighton & Hove and to encourage more people to consider fostering. I feel very lucky to be part of such an incredible community who all work so hard to make a difference to children and young people. I get to hear so many inspiring stories and I love being able to follow the journey of someone who has made a tentative enquiry and then gone on to become an amazing foster carer.

Daisy - Fostering Support Officer

I work with carers who provide Supported Lodgings placements as well as a number of young people in care who need support to build on their confidence and independence. My role is very rewarding as I get to help foster carers be the best they can be. I love my role in the fostering service as I meet some incredibly resilient and inspiring young people.
