Housing Area Panels
Find out about your Housing Area Panel meetings, where local tenants, leaseholders and elected resident representatives meet and talk with council housing staff, officers and councillors.
Area Panel meetings
Housing Area Panel meetings provide a space where residents and council staff come together to talk about housing matters that affect your daily life. These meetings happen 4 times a year. They create good opportunities for talking and solving problems together.
How we build community through partnership
These meetings are based on the idea that the best solutions come from working together.
Local tenants, leaseholders, elected resident representatives, council housing staff, and councillors all bring their different views to the table, creating a place where:
- everyone's voice is respected and heard
- different viewpoints lead to better solutions
- shared problems can be tackled together
- understanding each other builds stronger communities and services
- making decisions together leads to better results for all

What we discuss at these meetings
These friendly meetings look at important parts of housing management.
Conversations include:
- checking how services are working to make sure they meet residents' needs
- talking about how money should be spent based on what the community wants
- planning major repairs with input from residents
- developing rules that take into account residents' real-life experiences
- improving services based on feedback from everyone
The ideas and decisions from these meetings are shared with the lead councillor for housing and wider council cabinet, making sure that what residents think directly shapes council policy and how housing is managed.
Everyone's input is valued
At these meetings:
- all council housing tenants and leaseholders are welcome and encouraged to attend
- resident associations can choose representatives to bring forward group concerns
- meeting papers are provided to help everyone take part fully
