During lockdown, and throughout the covid pandemic we have all been staying at home more, leading to higher energy bills or being in a cold home for longer. All while many of us are earning considerably less.
Many more people are likely to be struggling to pay their fuel bills and keep their homes warm this year.
Heating your home to at least 18°C is important for your health and immune system, especially if you have reduced mobility, are 65 or over, or have a long-term heart or lung condition, diabetes or are pregnant.
The same health conditions impacted by cold indoor temperatures are also those that put people are higher risk from Covid-19.
This year it’s even more important to get support if you need help to keep your home warm.
