'Celebrating successes'
Councillor Hannah Clare, chair of the council’s Children, Young People and Skills committee, said: “We’re very proud of our Youth Employment Hub and the brilliant team behind it.
“This week of apprenticeship events will not only help young people looking to take their next steps in building their future; it will help key city sectors to address current staff shortages.
“The hub has already supported more than 400 young people to reach their education, employment and training goals since launching in June 2021.
“Not only does it help young people explore their opportunities and find their next steps, it provides a safe, physical space where they can hang out, meet and build their confidence and other life skills.
“As a council we too are leading from the front, with many apprenticeships offered at the City Council. This week is about celebrating all their brilliant successes.”
Young people can drop into the hub in Montague House, Montague Place, Kemptown, anytime. Parents and carers are welcome too.
