Register now for summer Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) sessions
Funded by the Department for Education, our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is back for summer 2025, offering a range of exciting and free activities throughout the school holidays.
HAF provides holiday clubs for children and young people from Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. Those attending sessions will also receive a free nutritious meal.

You can visit our online HAF booking page to view the programme in full and register interest for your preferred activity providers and sessions.
Summer HAF bookings will go live on Tuesday 3 June at 9am. Anyone who registered interest should receive an email reminding them to complete their booking request. Eligible participants can book up to 16 HAF sessions, with 1 HAF booking per day.

What’s on offer
There are more than 10,000 HAF sessions from 36 providers available at launch, including sports, art, drama, music, outdoor activities, play schemes, cookery workshops and more.
All providers are expected to be inclusive and should be contacted early to ensure the correct level of support is put in place. For those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), we also have several providers with a minimum of 1:4 ratios in place: Activ8 for Kids, Artpod, Brighton Table Tennis Club, and the Russell Martin Foundation.
We’re also excited to introduce free swimming courses with Brighton Swimming School, including one-to-one places for those with SEND.

Something for everyone
Councillor Emma Daniel, Cabinet member for Children, Families and Youth Services, said: “HAF provides children and young people with fun, free activities that encourage them to try new things and meet new people while staying active during the school holidays.
“With over 10,000 sessions available at launch, there’s something for everyone, from music and drama workshops to cycling and days out at fire stations.
“Our next HAF programme kicks off on 23 July, so we’re encouraging all parents and carers of eligible children to check out the jam-packed summer season and register their interest today before bookings go live next week.”
