National project aims to give more children and young people the chance to influence decisions about services and issues that affect them.

A major incident has been declared in Sussex to best respond to unprecedented pressures of Covid-19 on the county.

As the UK moves into another national lockdown, support remains available for anyone experiencing any type of abuse. Lockdown restrictions do not apply for anyone experiencing domestic abuse.

Over the past year we've been working towards our commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030. We look forward to taking more actions in 2021. 
 

Following the announcement of the new lockdown in England, everyone must stay at home to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

From 7 January 2021, all council-run nurseries will be closed to all but vulnerable children and children of critical workers.

Due to increasing rate of infection there is a new nation wide lockdown.

The council has advised primary schools to move to remote learning for the majority of pupils until 18 January. Early years settings, including nurseries and childminders, can stay open. Please check your child’s primary school and/or early years setting for more information.

As the city remains in Tier 4 with numbers of Covid cases rising, the city's Public Health Team asks people not to have parties or gatherings marking the New Year.
