Processing times for planning applications are currently running with a 5/7 working day delay before we can start validating new applications. To focus resources on validation, we will not be responding to any requests for progress updates until we have had the application for 7 working days. We’re doing our best to process applications as fast as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
Health Impact Assessment Guidance
Guidance to support the implementation of City Plan Part One policy CP18 A Healthy City.
This guidance had been prepared to support the implementation of City Plan Part One policy CP18 A Healthy City. It provides technical advice for developers and applicants on undertaking a Health impact assessment (HIA) and guidance for those involved with assessing HIAs submitted with planning applications.
Not all developments are required to undertake a HIA. This guidance clarifies which developments are required to undertake either a full HIA or provide a lighter touch health statement, and provides a local Checklist which will support the process.
Following approval at Tourism, Equalities, Communities and Culture Committee, the submission of either an HIA or health statement is now a validation requirement for relevant planning applications.
