Services to go to for help
There are a wide range of support services in Brighton. If you don’t see what you’re looking for on this list, you can visit Where to go for and search for what you’d like help with.
GP (doctor)
If you’re ever worried about something to do with your body, you should visit your GP. If you don’t currently have a GP you can find a surgery (or a dentist) to register with.
- Brighton Oasis Project website
Brighton Oasis Project offers support to women, children and families affected by drugs and alcohol.
- Brighton & Hove Sexual Health & Contraception Service (SHAC) website
A free and confidential service providing support and advice on all sexual health concerns, contraception and care and support for people living with HIV.
- Survivors Network website
Survivors' Network is the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex.
- Allsorts Youth Project website
A local project that aims to support and empower young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or unsure (LGBTU) of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
- BMEYPP website
Youth led organisation providing support and empowerment for Black, Asian, Arab and Mixed Heritage young people aged 11 to 25 in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas.
- Brighton & Hove Children and Young People Wellbeing Service website
For children and young people who experiencing difficulties with mental health and wellbeing.
- YMCA Youth Advice Centre Brighton website
The YMCA Youth Advice Centre (YAC) offers advice, support and guidance to young people in Brighton and Hove.
