Use this form to transfer your hackney carriage or private hire vehicle to a new owner.

How to transfer your licence

Complete this form to transfer:

  • the vehicle
  • the licence plate
  • your hackney carriage or private hire licence

You will need to tell us:

  • your address and contact details
  • the registration number, licence number and plate number for the vehicle
  • name and address of the new owner and additional owner
  • name and address of hire purchase or leasing company if there is an outstanding hire purchase or leasing agreement
