Opened in 1882 and covering 50 acres. Traditional, lawn, children's and cremated remains plots available.
This is a large burial ground spanning both sides of the A270.
The cemetery on the south side of the A270 has the Victorian Chapel and some ashes lawn grave memorials but no new full size graves.
The chapel in Hove Cemetery was built in the Victorian period and can be found in the middle of the south side of the cemetery.
One side is now used for storage, but the south side of the building is fully furnished for services prior to a burial.

There are public toilets in Hove Cemetery (South), near to the East Gate.
The cemetery on the north side of the A270 has new graves available.
Sections have been set aside to accommodate all faiths including Muslim, Baha'i, non orthodox Jewish (with its own Prayer Hall) and Coptic Christians.
There are also toilet facilities on the north side.
Upright headstones are allowed. They must be no bigger than 2ft 6inches in height, 2ft 6inches in width and 1ft 6inches in depth.

When visiting cemeteries be aware that there may be hidden dangers, such as uneven ground due to grave sinkage or animal activity. These dangers may be covered by longer grass.
Memorials also have the potential to harm due to their size, weight and condition.
