Our council is no place for hate
Racism and hate are never acceptable in our anti-racist council. All our staff should feel safe from racist hate incidents. When you see racism, we will enable you to recognise, respond, report and get support.
Recognise and respond to racism
Knowing the impacts of racism can give us confidence to challenge it safely and better support our colleagues and communities.
Take active anti-racism training on the Learning Zone, including new mandatory antisemitism and islamophobia awareness courses.
Report racism
If you are in immediate danger call the police on 999.
If you ever feel unsafe, or witness or experience racism at work:
- tell your manager or another person you trust
- report hate incidents through our Incident Reporting form
- anonymously report bullying and harassment through the Ethics Hotline
