Madeira Terrace restoration residents’ progress update event
Following the start of work on site in November, residents will be able to learn more about the work taking place over the next 3 months at the first Madeira Terrace progress update event on Wednesday 29 January.
The meeting will take place at Sea Lanes on Madeira Drive, 5pm-6:30pm.
Councillor Julie Cattell, lead councillor for Major Projects, said: “These updates are an opportunity to hear about the work that’s planned on the first phase of the restoration, and the preparations behind it.
“There will also be a question and answer session with council officers managing the project and Mackley, our lead contractor.
“Support for the restoration project has been superb. We recognise that construction work on such a large and complex project will inevitably impact local residents and businesses, and we want to ensure they are regularly informed on its progress and how it could affect them.
“We will work closely with Mackley to provide the best possible communication about what is happening and when. These new progress update events will be an important part of that.”
UPDATE - this event is now full, but further events will be held throughout the project. We will also be publishing a summary of the questions and answers raised on our Madeira Terrace restoration web pages.
