Councillor Platts on keeping critical council services running and protecting our most vulnerable residents during this unprecedented time.

Lessons have been learned from the difficulties that occurred with the council's home to school transport service in September 2019.

The government has announced that school will close to all pupils for the foreseeable future, except the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

The coronavirus has impacted on council business and we are currently reviewing what meetings can take place and how.

The Police & Crime Commissioner elections that were due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2020 have now been postponed until May 2021.  

Work begins on Monday 16 March to improve George Street in Hove. The work includes replacing benches and planters, and removing bollards.

We have awarded the contract for the architect that will lead the design team for the first phase of restoration.
