Brighton & Hove's climate assembly will bring together 50 residents and an independent panel to recommend actions for making the city carbon neutral by 2030.

Overnight repair and resurfacing work will begin next month as part of the Valley Gardens project to create new public spaces and improve travel.

A total of 600 local employers have signed up to the Brighton & Hove Living Wage campaign since its launch in 2012, implementing pay rises for over 3400 people.

The council’s annual budget for the year ahead will be voted on by all councillors at Budget Council next week.
