The expected order of works is summarised below. The order and timings are indicative and subject to the progress of works. We will be updating this page throughout the project.
Stage 1, winter 2024 to 2025
Castle Square and removal of traffic island south of Old Steine
Stage 2, winter to spring 2025
Pavement on eastern side of Old Steine
Stage 3, spring to summer 2025
East side of Steine gardens
Stage 4, summer to winter 2025
Western side of Old Steine. Traffic will become two-way on the eastern side of the gardens.
Stage 5, winter 2025 to summer 2026
Aquarium junction
