We normally review your financial assessments each year. We take into account any changes in your financial circumstances including benefits.
Your benefit entitlements may change after you’re admitted to a residential care home. If this happens, you need to tell the DWP. If you’re unable to contact the DWP and have no friends or family who can help, our Financial Assessment Team can help you.
If you're admitted to a care home and have a partner still living at home, your partner will be reassessed for benefits as a single person and should make sure they notify the DWP.
