The lindy hop is a social dance from the swing dance family, also known as the jitterbug. It evolved in Harlem in New York City in the 1920s and 30s along with the jazz music of that time.
Brighton Lindyhoppers are led by Graeme and Amanda and offer beginner, improver and intermediate lindy hop classes.
They are devoted lindy hoppers who continue to learn from some of the best teachers in the world, including some of the original dancers from 1930s Harlem. Their aim is to share their enjoyment of lindy hop with as many people as possible.
Brighton Rock Climbers
Is it just me or is it exhilarating being up high and clinging to a vertical wall? This group is for those crazy adventurous people who love the feel of chalk on their hands and can't get enough of cramming their feet into shoes two sizes too small! Sadly we don't happen to live nearby to any natural spots however, there are a number of artificial walls in the vicinity. So let's defy nature and get climbing!
Climbers of any and all levels are more than welcome to come along to share knowledge and have some fun!
