The card can be particularly helpful for customers with hidden disabilities. The company has also teamed up with the East Sussex Credit Union, to offer their members an annual ticket loan that spreads the payments over a year and offers and extra 10 percent discount.

Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co-morbid presentation for example mental health or psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety or self-harm.

A local group aiming to compliment conventional medical treatment and provide a caring and sociable place for people with cancer and their carers. The group provides a monthly gathering which is run and attended by alternative therapists. The therapists offer support and hands-on healing including reiki, crystal healing, touch for health, reflexology and Bach flower remedies.

A local group aiming to serve Chinese people and to preserve and promote Chinese culture by arranging cultural events and workshops. Enhancing Chinese Community's relationship with other similar groups.

The Carers' Card lets carers get discounts on leisure and other activities across Brighton & Hove. It is a joint initiative between the council, local charity Amaze and the city's Carers Centre. There's also a discount card for young carers.

Safeguarding means protecting someone's right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. Help and support is available in Brighton & Hove if you or someone you know is at risk of, or experiencing, abuse or neglect.

Specialist help is available from the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) to enable adults with learning disabilities to live full and healthy lives. The service supports people with a learning disability aged 18 years and older who live permanently in the city or are registered with a GP practice in the city.

We help people with learning disabilities to make choices, have increased opportunities, access mainstream services and take part in the local community.

A local group providing a resource for contact and dialogue between the many faith communities & traditions in Brighton & Hove. It is their aim to help build and maintain good relations, and greater understanding.

A local support group that meets at 2.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month except January and August, at Brighthelm Centre, North Road, Brighton.

A local floating support service that helps 16- 25 year olds who have become homeless and have been given independent accommodation through the council or through children services. The support offered is person centred and can last up to a year. They work with young people with different backgrounds, needs and circumstances such as young families, care leavers, and young people with little support networks.

How to access the service:

 

• Self-referrals are accepted from young people over the phone

 

• Referrals from professionals are also welcome

 

• Priority is given to Brighton and Hove City Council Housing Departments, Children Services, as well as any partner organisations listed on the Brighton & Hove housing or accommodation pathway

 

• They aim to acknowledge referrals within 24 hours if the client is in crisis or within 48 hours for standard support
