What Our City, Our World is

Our City, Our World is a sustainability, climate change and environmental education strategy for Brighton & Hove schools.

We're working with schools throughout the city on a whole school, whole city approach to sustainability and climate change.

The strategy aims to: 

  • develop an integrated environmental education curriculum, gradually and systematically ‘greening’ the curriculum and supporting the development of ‘green’ skills 
  • create school organisational systems and practices which support sustainability and Net Zero
  • help children and young people develop a close connection with nature, including our Living Coast biosphere reserve 
  • empower children and young people and their families to become changemakers, both personally and collectively
