Our library management system will be offline on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.
We’re upgrading our library management system on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. To carry out this work, our library management system will be offline for the whole day, which will disrupt some services.
Normal services will resume as soon as the upgrade is complete. Thank you for your patience while we improve our system.
Library accounts and catalogue
You won’t be able to log in to your library account.
Our online catalogue will be unavailable (both at home and in libraries).
A downtime message will be displayed during the upgrade.
Borrowing and returning Items
You can still borrow and return items using:
- self-service kiosks
- staff service points
No items will be due back on 22 April, so you won’t receive late charges.
Payments
We cannot accept any payments (cash or card) on the day.
If you borrow an item that has a rental charge, the fee will be added to your account to pay at a later date.
Public computers
Customers who have used our PCs before will still be able to log in.
New users or anyone who hasn’t logged in previously will not be able to access PCs on this day.
No printing will be available.
eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines
If you are already logged in to BorrowBox, Libby, or PressReader, you should still be able to use them.
If you are not logged in at the time of the upgrade, you may experience a temporary disruption.
Other online resources may also be affected.
