Developing the proposals

Timeline for the proposals

2015 - Site first identified as potential opportunity to bring together services and develop new housing.

2018 - Conversations with health and other service providers and business plan developed.

2018 to 2019 - Ideas discussed with ward councillors and community representatives.

January to April 2020 - Planning for real public engagement was completed.

April 2020 - Proposals to transfer land to the council’s housing revenue account and relocate services were agreed by the Housing Committee on 29 April 2020 and Policy & Resources committee on 30 April 2020 (the business case for the proposals was also agreed by the Policy & Resources committee).

2021 - The papers went to Housing Committee & Policy & Resources Committee in March 2021 to update on the scheme and show how Planning For Real has reshaped the proposal.

2022 - The planning application was submitted in April 2022 and is currently live.
