Application form guidance
This guidance will help you complete our online application forms for council jobs.
About the application form
The advert for the job you're applying for will say what you need to submit as part of your application.
If it says 'as part of your application, you will need to complete your education and work history', don't upload a CV, instead complete your details on the online application.
As you complete the online application form, you will see sections named:
- Career History
- Education History
Use one box for each job or education element you have. Use the 'add more career history' or 'add more education history' boxes to create more boxes in your application.
Make sure that you include:
reasons for any gaps in paid employment, such as full-time education or undertaking voluntary work
To help us meet our fair and inclusive aims, we will make your application form details anonymous. The hiring manager won't see:
- your name or other personal details
- your dates of education and employment
- the name of your educational institution or employer
Your job titles and descriptions will be visible. The panel will see your full information at interview stage.
