Apply for schools meals - no access to public funds

Apply for for temporary free school meals if you are a family with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

Fill out this form if you are a parent/carer/guardian with children in a Brighton & Hove school, where one of the following applies:

  • your children are British citizens, but you are not a British citizen
  • you have leave to remain in the UK (under article 8 of the ECHR)
  • you are seeking asylum in the UK and are receiving Section 4 support 
  • you are receiving support as a result of Section 17 of the Children Act 1989 

You will need to provide proof of the following:

  • Derivative residents card (if your children have British citizenship but you do not)
  • a letter from the Home Office or a biometric residence card (if you have leave to remain under Article 8 of the ECHR)
  • a letter from the Home Office or letter from the local authority confirming Section 4 support (if you are seeking asylum in the UK)
  • a Child in Need letter from the local authority dated within the last six months (if you are receiving support as a result of Section 17 of the Children Act 1989)

You will also need to tell us about your current income and if you have them, provide a copy of your:

  • last payslip
  • last bank statement
