Brighton & Hove Economic Plan 2024 to 2027
Find out what the Brighton & Hove Economic Plan is and read the document.
What the Economic Plan is
The Brighton & Hove Economic Plan outlines a strategic pathway towards creating an economy that is more competitive, productive, fairer and greener. This plan provides the groundwork for how the Council in collaboration with its partners will support, diversify, and adapt to stimulate economic growth in Brighton & Hove over the coming years.
Accompanying this is an Action Plan for the first year of implementation, detailing a programme of initiatives aimed at creating a more prosperous city and a better Brighton & Hove for all. The Evidence Base that has informed the Plan can be found on our website.
While this is a three-year plan, it also marks the beginning of a ten-year strategic vision guided by the following core imperatives:
Capitalise on our digital competitive advantage
Build community involvement as a response to poverty and economic inequality
Decarbonise and create a more regenerative economy
Build a stronger, more inclusive labour market
Celebrate our city and welcome investment
A world-leading creative destination worthy of the UK’s best small city
Build new knowledge partnerships to benefit all of our communities
Thrive within a city region with a clear economic identity
