Fees for ESOL courses

Eligibility for free ESOL courses

You can enrol on a course for free if you:

• meet the residency eligibility requirements set out by the Education and Skills Funding Agency
• live in Brighton & Hove
• are unemployed and receive a means-tested state benefit
• are employed and earn less than £25,000 gross annual salary
• are 19 years old or over at the start date of the course

You’ll need to show evidence of the above as part of the enrolment process.

If you’re not eligible for free courses, ask learning centres about fees or other options.
